6.0-Magnitude Quake Hit Southern East Pacific Rise: USGS

NEW YORK, Jan 12 (NNN-XINHUA) – An earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.0, jolted southern East Pacific Rise, at 16:17:45 GMT yesterday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicentre, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 49.8606 degrees south latitude, and 114.3039 degrees west longitude.– NNN-XINHUA
