11 Terrorists Killed In NW Pakistan’s Military Operation

ISLAMABAD, Jan 6 (NNN-APP) – Eleven terrorists were killed when the Pakistani army conducted an operation, in the country’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a military statement said, yesterday.

The security forces conducted the operation by acting on an intelligence tip-off, regarding the presence of the militants in South Waziristan district, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said, in the statement.

The militants were planning a high-profile terrorist activity, which was successfully foiled by the army, the statement added.

The terrorists who were killed in the intense exchange of fire included a commander and two suicide bombers, the ISPR added.

“Huge quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the dead terrorists,” the statement said.– NNN-APP
