LIMA, Dec 29 (NNN-ANDINA) — Pres Dina Boluarte affirmed that the current Government is working on meeting the needs and demands of all brothers and sisters from native communities in the jungle and rest of Peru.

Boluarte held a meeting with representatives of seven native peoples from Manseriche (Loreto region). The gathering was held in Lima.

Within this framework, the Head of State indicated that her administration will start by executing public works which rely on technical files so as to close the existing water and drainage gaps.

The top official announced that the ministers of Housing, Economy, Education, Culture, Energy-Mines, and Transportation-Communications will travel to the Datem del Marañon area to talk with the native brothers and sisters on Jan 15.

At said meeting —she indicated— the presence of acting mayors will be important because development projects are officially made viable through municipalities.

“In these 15 days we are going to go with the complete documentation, file by file, to help each mayor lift the objections,” she specified.

President Boluarte addressed the public servants at each ministry so that they make objections to technical files once, because it is very difficult and expensive for authorities from the jungle and other remote parts of the country to travel to Lima.

The Head of state emphasized that she will honor her word by working, during her tenure leading the Transition Government, on solving the problems of brothers and sisters from the native communities of the jungle, as well as of the Andes and north of Peru.

“You have my word; I will work hand-in-hand with you,” she affirmed.

The Head of State also asked communities to help oversee the budget that is allocated to municipalities for the pending projects so that each fund is used for its sole purpose.

“(…) This Government of Dina Boluarte is going to differentiate itself (from others) by doing so, by working honestly, transparently, with a frontal fight against corruption, no matter who falls,” she concluded.

As is known, Boluarte officially became President of the Republic on Dec 7 after ex-President Pedro Castillo was constitutionally impeached and removed from office by Parliament. — NNN-ANDINA
