KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) — Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) is pleased to announce that the new international student applications have now exceeded the target for 2022. 50,000 new international student applications to study in Malaysian public and private education institutions have been received as of December 2022. Among the top 10 country of origin for new applications received from international students, the countries with an increasing trend are China, Indonesia, Pakistan, Japan and Egypt.
EMGS Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mohd Radzlan bin Jalaludin stated, “We are glad to see the increasing pattern of applications. This result shows Malaysia still hold dear by international students as they continue to show their interest to study in Malaysia”. He added, “This is a tremendous accomplishment and yet another milestone for EMGS and Malaysia as a whole.”
