Pakistani PM Launched Report In Wake Of Climate-Induced Catastrophic Floods

ISLAMABAD, Dec 22 (NNN-APP) – Pakistani Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, yesterday, launched the Resilient, Recovery, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Framework (4RF) report, in wake of the recent catastrophic floods in the country.

The 4RF document, is the action plan for rehabilitation and reconstruction, over damages caused by the climate-induced floods, containing short-, medium- and long-term climate resilient strategy, said a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Lauding the role of the provincial governments and relevant ministries, for adopting an inclusive approach in bringing out the important framework, the prime minister directed authorities, to take necessary steps for an effective dissemination of the document, to all the stakeholders at home and abroad, according to the statement.

“Necessary efforts must be made for effective pitching of this framework, in the upcoming International Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan, scheduled early next year in Switzerland,” the prime minister said.

Pakistan’s foreign ministry said, the conference is scheduled to be held on Jan 9, 2023, in Geneva, aimed at engaging the international community to mobilise support for Pakistan’s post-flood recovery.– NNN-APP
