HAVANA, Dec 10 (NNN-ACN) — Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz ratified Cuba’s willingness to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation with Caribbean nations.
On Twitter, the head of government praised the Caribbean Community ( CARICOM) Day with Cuba, which commemorates the decision of Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago to establish diplomatic relations with the island 50 years ago.
In the framework of this 50th anniversary, Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban communist party and president of the country, made a tour that included visits to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados and Grenada.
He also attended the 8th CARICOM-Cuba Summit, which he valued as a meeting between Caribbean brothers to continue strengthening the ties of friendship, respect, mutual support, solidarity and cooperation for the welfare of the people. — NNN-ACN
