Pakistani Ambassador To Afghanistan Survived Shooting Attack Unscathed

KABUL, Dec 3 (NNN-ANA) – Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan, Obaid ur Rehman Nizamani, survived unscathed a gun attack on his life, in the Afghan capital, Kabul, local TV channel Tolo News TV reported, yesterday.

A security guard at the Pakistani embassy was injured in a gunfire, by unknown armed men, at the entrance of the embassy, the TV channel said on social media.

An eyewitness, on condition of anonymity said that, he was crossing the area near the Pakistani embassy, when the gunfire happened. “I saw a security personnel of the embassy wounded on the spot.”

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the Taliban-led caretaker government’s foreign ministry, condemned the attack on the Pakistani embassy.

“The Islamic Emirate will not allow malicious groups to threat security of the diplomatic mission. The incident will seriously be investigated,” said the spokesman.– NNN-ANA
