MEXICO CITY, Nov 29 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — The Jose Marti Association of Cuban Residents in Mexico again denounced the United States’ economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, according to a statement on Monday.

The Cuban residents participated in the events of the solidarity caravan, which is done every month on the 27th, although this time it coincided with the great march in support of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in which they also took part.

They denounced that the Joe Biden administration has maintained the blockade without making any changes or lifting all 243 measures approved by his predecessor, Donald Trump, nor has it removed Cuba from the spurious list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

These actions tightened the economic war against an entire people with the aim of bending them by hunger and disasters in order to destroy the Cuban Revolution, the statement pointed out.

It admitted that the legal framework of the blockade is complex as it is already a law and the government cannot lift it on its own, but it has prerogatives and executive orders that can substantially reduce the financial persecution and sanctions to third countries that want to do business with Cuba.

This is why every month for more than a year Cubans in Mexico have joined the international caravans against the US blockade that have been held in more than 70 countries by compatriots living abroad and friends from all over the world to call to demand the end of this aggressive policy that violates the human rights of all Cubans. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
