KUALA LUMPUR, April 13 (NNN- Bernama) — The fire and explosion at the Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) site in Pengerang, Johor, earlier today has not impacted Dialog Group Bhd’s operations.
The company said the incident at RAPID, which neighbours its Pengerang Deepwater Terminals, had not impacted the group’s employees, operations and financial position.
“The management will continue to assess and monitor our facilities and assets to ensure safe working conditions for our people,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
The fire and explosion incident, which happened at around 1.20 am, injured two locals and is believed to have damaged more than 10 houses in Kampung Lepau, near Pengerang.
