LIMA, Nov 26 (NNN-ANDINA) — President Pedro Castillo on Friday night administered the oath of office to members of the new Cabinet led by Prime Minister Betssy Chavez, who replaces Anibal Torres in the post.

The reshuffled group is made up of Ministers: Cesar Rodrigo Landa Arroyo (Foreign Affairs); Daniel Hugo Barragan Coloma (Defense); Willy Arturo Huerta Olivas (Interior); Felix Inocente Chero Medina (Justice and Human Rights); Rosendo Leoncio Serna Roman (Education; Juan Rodo Altamirano Quispe (Agrarian Development and Irrigation); Kelly Roxana Portalatino Avalos (Health); Alejandro Antonio Salas Zegarra (Labor and Employment Promotion).

Eduardo Mora Asnaran (Production); Roberto Helbert Sanchez Palomino (Foreign Trade and Tourism); Oliverio Muñoz Cabrera (Energy and Mines); Richard Washington Tineo Quispe (Transportation and Communications);Cesar Paniagua Chacon (Housing, Construction, and Sanitation); Heidy Lisbeth Juarez Calle (Women and Vulnerable Populations); Wilbert Gabriel Rozas Beltran (Environment); Silvana Emperatriz Robles Araujo (Culture); Cinthya Karina Lindo Espinoza (Development and Social Inclusion); and Kurt Johnny Burneo Farfan (Economy and Finance).

Twelve Ministers from the previous Cabinet remain in their positions.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima.

On Thursday night, Castillo announced that, once Congress had flatly rejected the confidence motion raised by the Executive Branch, he accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Anibal Torres.

On Friday afternoon, the Head of State administered the oath of office to Betssy Chavez, who has become the new Prime Minister. — NNN-ANDINA
