Afghan Police Destroyed Two Drug Labs In Ghor Province

FIROZ KOAH, Afghanistan, Nov 18 (NNN-ANA) – Afghan forces have destroyed two drug labs in Afghanistan’s western Ghor province, a police statement said yesterday.

The counter-narcotic police, discovered two drug processing plants and a huge quantity of hashish, in Dawlatyar district of the province, and set them on fire on Wednesday, the statement said.

Police have also recently discovered more than 11 tonnes of illicit drugs, including opium poppy and hashish, in Bagrami area of Kabul, and arrested three alleged drug traffickers.

The Taliban-run administration has banned poppy cultivation, processing and trafficking, as part of efforts to eliminate drug menace.– NNN-ANA
