Singapore’s Non-Oil Domestic Exports (NODX) Declined By 5.6 Percent Last Month

SINGAPORE, Nov 17 (NNN-XINHUA) – Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports (NODX), declined by 5.6 percent, year on year, in Oct, after the 3.1 percent growth in Sept, Enterprise Singapore, a government agency, announced, today.

This indicates that, the consecutive 22 months of NODX year-on-year growth has ended.

In a breakdown, the electronic NODX decreased by 9.3 percent, year on year, in Oct, following the 10.6 percent decrease in Sept. The non-electronic NODX declined by 4.5 percent, year on year, in Sept, compared to the 7.6 percent growth in the previous month.

On a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, Singapore’s NODX decreased by 3.7 percent in Oct, to 15.9 billion Singapore dollars (11.6 billion US dollars), after the previous month’s 3.9 percent decline.

Singapore’s non-oil re-exports (NORX) increased by 6.4 percent, year on year, this Oct, following the 20.2 percent growth in the previous month. Both electronic and non-electronic NORX grew.

Singapore’s oil domestic exports expanded by 33.1 percent, year on year, in Oct, easing from the revised 56.5 percent growth in Sept.– NNN-XINHUA
