KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 (Bernama) — The Board of Governors at Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Chua Ping Yong as MCKL’s Chief Executive Officer in October 2022. Dr Chua carries more than 30 years’ experience in the education industry in Malaysia and overseas, majority of which is in tertiary education. During this time, Dr Chua has worn many hats including instructor, lecturer, senior lecturer, head of division and head of school, dean, and executive director and president.
His area of expertise is in electronic engineering, having obtained his diploma in electronic engineering in Malaysia; Master’s in Industrial Control System, and doctoral degree in Robotics, specialising in Tactile Sensors and Robotic Hands at the University of Salford, UK. Most recently, he served as the Head of the Centre of Excellence Research, and Innovation at First City Corporation Sdn. Bhd. before joining MCKL.
