LONDON (UK), Nov 8 (NNN-ANDINA) — Peru is present at the World Travel Market, one of the most important international tourism fairs which takes place in London, United Kingdom, from November 7 to 9, Peru’s Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) reported on Monday.

“Our country participates featuring a 200-square-meter stand that will seek to showcase the best of the Peruvian tourist offer, with the aim of diversifying and strengthening our country’s image and contributing to our reactivation on a global scale,” said PromPeru Executive-President Amora Carbajal.

The official pointed out that 20 Peruvian companies are present in the commercial platform promoting their tourist products, showing its focus on adventure, nature, and sustainability to more than 50,000 international visitors.

“This presentation will allow entrepreneurs to consolidate important business meetings  with professionals from the sector, seeking to secure commitments worth over US$800,000 thru the end of this event,” she indicated.

In this sense, a varied offer of destinations such as Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Cusco, Puno and Madre de Dios regions is promoted; in addition to the northern route with emphasis on Lambayeque, La Libertad, Loreto, San Martin, Cajamarca and Amazonas regions.

“This will allow us to showcase our tourist attractions based in various regions, hand-in-hand with birdwatching —an activity of great importance for the economic progress of regions in our country,” she said.

The Peruvian stand will present the best of our gastronomy through coffee, pisco, and chocolate tastings at a bar implemented for the occasion.

Also, space will be given to our multicultural riches thanks to the live presentations of various dances, as well as typical garment from our regions.

It is important to remember that international tourism fairs are commercial events for the exhibition of tourism services where the supply and demand from many countries’ tourism industry converge, she added.

In this sense, the official mentioned that Peruvian participation at the World Travel Market aims to recover outbound tourism and revenue generated for the tourism sector by providing an international showcase, as well as a space for Peruvian companies to market their tourism products and adopt new trends in the travel industry. — NNN-ANDINA
