MANILA, Nov 6 (NNN-PNA) – A school bus lost control and plunged into a ravine, in a province north-west of Manila yesterday, killing at least one and injuring 46 others, Philippine police said.
Police said, the school bus was carrying 47 people, mostly teachers from Quezon City, a suburb in Metro Manila.
The Quezon City government said, the teachers were heading back to Manila, after attending a training activity in Orani town, in Bataan province, when the accident happened, shortly before noon.
The bus driver told police that the bus’ break malfunctioned, while negotiating a sharp curve before falling into the 60-metre ravine.– NNN-PNA
