Israeli Election Would Not Produce A Partner For Peace: Palestinian PM

RAMALLAH, Nov 3 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtaye, yesterday said that, the results of the Israeli parliamentary elections, would not produce a peace partner with the Palestinians.

In a statement from the prime minister’s office, Ishtaye said, the rise of extremist religious right-wing parties in the Israeli elections, “is a natural result of the growing manifestations of extremism and racism in Israeli society, from which the Palestinian people have been suffering for years.”

“The results confirmed what we were certain of, that we have no partner in Israel for peace,” said the statement.

The television samples (unofficial preliminary results) showed a possible victory for former Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in the parliamentary elections.

The results showed that the right-wing bloc led by Netanyahu, head of the Likud Party, which consists of the Likud, Shas, United Torah Judaism, and Religious Zionism parties, obtained a majority of more than 60 seats in parliament.– NNN-WAFA
