KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 (Bernama) — In conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebration, Yayasan PETRONAS has begun distributing festive food items and hampers to a total of 2,100 beneficiaries from B40 groups across nine states in Malaysia as part of its Sentuhan Kasih programme.
The items were distributed to families in Johor, Kedah, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, Perak, Perlis, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur from 12 October until 20 October 2022. Contributions included basic food items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, sardine, tea, and dhal beans along with Deepavali-themed food items such as briyani masala powder, kesari mix flour, ghee, curry powder as well as Murukku hampers, which are specially sourced from local micro businesses.
