Aussie State Police Seized 2.5-Million-USD Worth Of Drug, Arrested Two

SYDNEY, Oct 19 (NNN-AAP) – Police officers arrested two men and seized eight kg of methylamphetamine (“ice”), in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), with an estimated street value of over four million Australian dollars (about 2.5 million U.S. dollars).

In a statement released today, NSW Police Force said, detectives carried an investigation into large-scale drug supply in the Manning Great Lakes region, located in the north of the state.

In Sept, two packages from abroad were intercepted, at a mailing facility in Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria, and were found to contain eight kg of the drug, ice.

Following further investigations, detectives executed a warrant at a house in NSW, yesterday, during which they arrested and searched two men, aged 29 and 22.

According to the statement, they were each charged with a large commercial supply of prohibited drugs, and both were refused bail.– NNN-AAP
