NEW DELHI, Oct 15 (NNN-PTI) – India launched a ballistic missile from its strategic strike submarine, INS Arihant, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement, yesterday.
“The missile was tested to a predetermined range, and impacted the target area in the Bay of Bengal, with very high accuracy. All operational and technological parameters of the weapon system have been validated,” said the statement.
It added that, the successful user training launch of the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) by INS Arihant, is significant to prove crew competency.– NNN-PTI
