DAR ES SALAAM, Oct 13 (NNN-DAILYNEWS) — President Samia Suluhu Hassan is set to announce the results of the 2022 people, housing and physical addresses census results later this month, the census Commissioner Anne Makinda said.
She told members of the media fraternity that after the counting process, which began August 23, 2022, processing and verifying collected data at the all was set, waiting for the Head of the State to announce the results.
“I know that after cooperating and participating in the counting process, citizens are eager to know the outcomes. The good news is that President Samia will announce the results by the end of this month on the day she will choose based on her timetable,” she said.
The commissioner once again thanked cooperation from the members of the public which made the process succeed by 99.9 percent in reaching out every individual in the counting process, where she said that this will be the first census to have its results made public within a time frame of one month since accomplishing counting and processing data.
She said the work was simplified because it was carried out digitally.
Data collected using tablets were sent directly to the server.
According to her, after the President’s declaration of the final results, they will also be posted on different billboards at noticeboards at Kitongoji, village and ward level for citizens to easily read them. — NNN-DAILYNEWS
