Venezuela considers momentous decision at OPEC+ meeting

CARACAS, Oct 6 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — The Vice President of Economy of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, considered transcendental the decision adopted at the 33rd OPEC+ Ministerial Meeting to reduce oil production by two million barrels per day.

On his Twitter account, the senior official stated that the “balance of the energy market is essential to guarantee a reliable supply for all countries.”

Tareck, who is also Minister of Petroleum, referred in another tweet to the imposition of sanctions, that the blockade and aggression of the West against the main hydrocarbon-producing countries.

He believed, in this regard, they are part of the “foolish and irrational measures” that caused the imbalance in the energy markets.

The publication is accompanied by the document approved Wednesday at the ministerial meeting, held in Vienna, which states that given the uncertainty in the economic outlook and the world oil market, they adjusted the general production downwards as of November by two million barrels per day .
