Panama reports third dengue death case

PANAMA CITY, Oct 5 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — Panamanian health authorities confirmed the third death case from dengue, a woman resident in the Niba district, Besikó district, in the Ngabe Bugle indigenous region.

According to the Health Ministry, the patient started to experience symptoms on Sept 19, with headache, fever, diarrhea and bleeding, so she went five days later to the Soloy health center.

In the statement, the health ministry specified that the deceased suffered from chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes mellitus, without treatment.

To date, Panama has reached 5,452 cases of dengue. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
