Pakistani Police Seized Six Kg Heroin In Peshawar

ISLAMABAD, Sept 29 (NNN-APP) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan, foiled an attempt to smuggle SIX kg of heroin at the Bacha Khan International Airport, in the country’s north-western Peshawar city, and arrested one person, officials said yesterday.

Police officers seized the drugs from a passenger at the airport, during a routine inspection, an ANF spokesperson told local media, adding that, the narcotics were hidden in a trolley bag of the passenger.

The authorities said, the arrested man was trying to board an international flight for Malaysia, and confessed to smuggling narcotics to foreign countries.

The drug smuggler has been shifted to an undisclosed place for further investigation. A case has also been registered against him.

On Tuesday, ANF officials recovered more than 60 kg of narcotics, in operations in several cities of the country, and arrested two suspects.– NNN-APP
