Iran Armed Forces Vow To Combat U.S. Forces In West Asia

TEHRAN, Iran, April 9 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran’s Armed Forces would spare no effort to combat the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces in West Asia, Iran Armed Forces Headquarters said.

Over the past years, the U.S. has destabilised the West Asia region, with the aim of creating a safe haven for Israel.

The announcement, by Iran’s Armed Forces, follows the decision on Monday, by U.S. President Donald Trump, who said, the United States designates Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a “foreign terrorist organisation.”

Accordingly, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, on Monday, announced the U.S. Central Command forces in West Asia as a “terrorist group.”

“The U.S. government’s move to designate the IRGC as a terrorist group is a desperate attempt to take revenge and cover up its failures in the region,” the Iranian Armed Forces’ statement said.

“The U.S. unwise action lacks an operational value and is doomed to fail,” it said.

The IRGC’s Chief Commander, Mohammad Ali Jafari, said that, his forces will grow stronger in its defensive and offensive power in the next year, despite U.S. “ridiculous” attempts, according to the state IRINN TV.– NNN-IRNA
