LIMA, Sept 22 (NNN-ANDINA) — The number of citizens infected with COVID-19 rose to 4,135,141 and the death toll reached 216,381 in Peru as of Sept 19, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has reported.
Within this framework, 410 cases were detected and 10 people passed away due to the virus on the analyzed day.
30,761,421 samples tested negative for COVID-19 —out of a total of 34,896,562.
It must be noted that 4,031,482 people have been discharged and declared healthy. Other 631 were hospitalized.
Minsa also reported that 83,593,832 doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 have been so far administered in Peru.
Out of that total, 28,192,959 were given as second dose, thus accounting for 86.0% of the target population. Within this framework, 20,618,435 citizens have been vaccinated with a third dose accounting for 72.1% of the general population.
Similarly, 4,932,819 people have received the fourth dose. — NNN-ANDINA
