The other recipients are ‘Health and Living’ programme producer at BFM Radio, Tina Carmillia Adrian and Khazanah Nasional Berhad corporate communications vice president Serina Joon.

“My research topic will be on how to use sentiment analysis to improve journalism, so that we can push the change of policies,” she told Bernama after receiving the fellowship award here today.

The Kuala Lumpur-born also hopes to gain more exposure and knowledge during the programme and expects to share them with her colleagues.

Khazanah has been sponsoring the fellowship since 2013 and its managing director Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan presented the award letter to the three recipients.

BERNAMA Editor-in-Chief Datuk Zakaria Abdul Wahab who was also present at the ceremony said the news agency was proud and honoured that its journalist had been selected for the programme.

“This candidate is among the best. We hope that with this attachment she will come back with new knowledge which can be used in BERNAMA, especially in ideas and presentation through writing on interesting topics,” he said.
