UNITED NATIONS, Sept 21 (NNN-GNA) — President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has arrived in the United States where he is attending the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 77).

The president is due to deliver his address on Wednesday, Sept 21 as the fifth speaker of the 7th session which will start at 3 pm local time.

Akufo-Addo was accompanied by First Lady Rebecca, Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and other top government officials.

The President has been holding meetings on the sidelines of the summit, one such meetings was with Indian External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar.

Jaishankar shared a photo of their meeting with the caption: “Pleased to call on President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo

“Discussed our ongoing cooperation in the UN Security Council, especially on counterterrorism. Appreciated the achievements of our development partnership.”

Akufo-Addo flew into New York from London, where he attended the funeral ceremony of the late British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. — NNN-GNA
