YANGON, Sept 19 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar confirmed 234 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 618,898, according to the Ministry of Health, yesterday.
The ministry said in a statement that, health authorities tested 9,533 people for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate was 2.45 percent.
The death toll from COVID-19 rose to 19,446 yesterday, as two new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, the ministry said.
The total number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 in the country rose to 595,385, including 219 new recoveries yesterday.
