KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 (Bernama) — PETRONAS has contributed RM2.5 million to MERCY Malaysia as aid for the victims of the monsoon floods that recently hit the South and Northwest parts of Pakistan.
The funds will be utilised for the mobilisation of MERCY Malaysia’s Rapid Assessment Team and provision of health-related emergency support via its Pakistan Monsoon Flood Response. The contribution will also aid Pakistan in a phased implementation of its Flood Recovery as well as Preparedness and Community Resilience Programmes. These initiatives are expected to be rolled out over the next 25 months.
