KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia reported 2,431 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight, bringing the national total to 4,811,327, according to the health ministry.
There are eight new imported cases, with 2,423 cases being local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.
Another five deaths have been reported, pushing the death toll to 36,296.
The ministry reported 1,820 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 4,748,732.
There are 26,299 active cases, with 62 being held in intensive care and 40 of those in need of assisted breathing.
Malaysia reported 2,474 vaccine doses administered yesterday. 86 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 84.2 percent are fully vaccinated, and 49.7 percent received the first booster, while 1.5 percent have received the second booster.– NNN-BERNAMA
