Iran Recommends U.S. Central Command for Terrorist Designation

Tehran, April 9 (NNN- Prensa Latina) The Foreign Minister of Iran, Mohammed Yavad Zarif, recommended on Monday to include the United States Central Command (Centcom) in the list of organizations considered as terrorist by the Persian nation.

Zarif’s suggestion came minutes after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC Corps) a terrorist.

The head of Iranian diplomacy sent a letter to the president of the Republic and head of the Supreme Council of National Security, Hassan Rouhani, in which he suggests that classification for Centcom because it is responsible for the troops in the Middle East.

Zarif invoked a law passed by his country’s parliament that deals with human rights violations and the U.S.’s adventurous and terrorist acts in the region.

Earlier, the official warned U.S. President Donald Trump not to be dragged into the quagmire by Israel’s plan to consider the CGRI a terrorist.

Heshmatollah Falahat Pishe, chairman of the Iranian parliament’s Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy, confirmed three groups of deputies drafted a bill to label the U.S. army a terrorist.

Meanwhile, the commander of the CGRI, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, pointed out that his forces would put on the agenda a reciprocal action against the US forces.

If the Americans make a move they endanger our national security, he stressed, we will implement and respond with response measures.

The CGIR has some 125,000 members and enjoys growing popular support, as well as its military readiness, it collaborates on construction projects, infrastructure and assistance.
