KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) — CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad (“CIMB Islamic”) announces its RM520,000 contribution towards the establishment of a halfway house named Rumah Rakyat CIMB Islamic within the vicinity of Hospital Sultanah Maliha in Langkawi. The halfway house is aimed at aiding the B40 families who are seeking treatments at the hospital. Guided by the intrinsic values of strengthening family ties within the local communities, this strategic initiative is in partnership with Hospital Sultanah Maliha, Langkawi and the Kedah State Health Department under the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
A signing ceremony was held with signatories Ahmad Shahriman Mohd Shariff, Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Islamic and Dr. Othman Warijo, Director of Kedah State Health Department, marking the commencement of the community empowerment strategic initiative.
