KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) — Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad (“Berjaya Sompo”) continues its Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) initiative with the “DIY Composting Workshop” in collaboration with AIESEC in Universiti Malaya’s Clean Our Plate project. The workshop was held in conjunction with Berjaya Sompo’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Week.
The Clean Our Plate is a semiannual Malaysian Youth Volunteer project focusing on SDG 12 to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, and AIESEC pioneered it in Universiti Malaya (UM) in 2017. Director of the Clean Our Plate project, Naqib al-Hussaini said, “We believe by collaborating with Berjaya Sompo, the impact of our project can be amplified and more awareness can be created among the community”. As a youth-run organisation, AIESEC in UM was truly grateful to be given such an opportunity by Berjaya Sompo.
