KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) — AmBank Group shared its insights on Islamic Finance sustainability through a webinar on Sustainable Finance Series recently, in support of AmBank Group’s Sustainability agenda best practices. The webinar was hosted by the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MICPA). The knowledge sharing session on the perspective of Islamic banking integrating areas such as green financing and financial inclusion in light of the current industry demand has benefited approximately 130 professional accountants, comprising MICPA members.
Speaking at the webinar, Eqhwan Mokhzanee, Chief Executive Officer of AmBank Islamic said, “Islamic Finance plays a critical role in advocating the sustainability agenda as it serves to promote protection over the environment, society and governance. This is an excellent platform for us to share our knowledge and opinions on Islamic Finance in relation to sustainability and how organisations can start their journey towards a positive and sustainable future.”
