KHOVD, Mongolia, Aug 29 (NNN-XINHUA) – An intense dust storm hit the western Mongolian province of Khovd yesterday, causing poor road visibility.

Mongolia has a harsh continental climate, as strong winds and dust storms are common in the country, throughout the year.

According to the environment ministry, the frequency of climate-related natural disasters, such as dust storms, has been on the rise in the country.
