JAKARTA, Aug 16 (NNN-ANTARA) – The Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries, said yesterday that, the country recorded a total of 86,256 units of wholesale car sales in July, an increase of almost 10 percent from June, with Toyota still dominating the market.
Accumulatively, the wholesale car sales reached 561,287 units in the Jan-Apr period, higher than 451,887 units in the same period of 2021.
Annually, the wholesale car sales in July this year was far higher than 66,639 units in the same month of 2021, when the country’s economy was still burdened by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the association’s data, in the last seven months, Toyota led the market with 178,787 units sold, contributing 31.9 percent to the total sales.
In second rank was Daihatsu with 106,278 units, followed by Honda with 72,184 units and Mitsubishi Motors with 59,319 units.– NNN-ANTARA
