Japanese Politicians Urged To Exercise Caution On Taiwan Question

BEIJING, Jul 30 (NNN-XINHUA) – A Chinese mainland spokesperson, yesterday, urged certain Japanese politicians to learn lessons from history and exercise caution in their words and deeds, on the Taiwan question.

Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, made the remarks, in response to an inquiry regarding recent visits of several Japanese politicians to Taiwan.

Noting that the wrong moves and remarks by the Japanese politicians are very dangerous, Zhu urged them to fully recognise the highly sensitive nature of the Taiwan question, understand there is but one China in the world and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, and abide by the one-China principle and the spirit of the four China-Japan political documents.

Zhu warned Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party authority, against misjudging the situation and said that, colluding with external forces to seek “independence” is doomed to fail.– NNN-XINHUA
