TASHKENT, Jul 22 (NNN-XINHUA) – Uzbekistan’s police have arrested eight suspected members of banned militant Jihadist organisation, Katiba al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, in Tashkent region, local police said yesterday.
The detainees, aged between 22 and 25, planned to leave for Syria and join the ranks of the militants there, a police report said.
“Currently, additional interrogations are being carried out, as part of the investigative actions,” it said.– NNN-XINHUA
