NAIROBI, July 21 (NNN-KBC) — Kenya and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that seeks to enhance collaboration and cooperation in areas of countering extremism, counter terrorism, organized crime.
The pact was signed between Kenya’s Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji and the Attorney General from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Saud Abdullah AlMuajeb Al Shariff.
The MOU was signed on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the ODPP offices by the delegation from Saudi Arabia led by the AG, and the ambassador to Kenya Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Salman.
During the meeting, the AG reiterated that the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Kenya is historical and expressed optimism that the partnership will further be strengthened by the signing of the MoU.
They discussed other areas of collaboration such as capacity building in handling complex and emerging crimes, and technological advances such as the Uadilifu Case Management System. — NNN-KBC
