COLOMBO, Jul 15 (NNN-AGENCIES) – Sri Lanka’s Speaker of Parliament, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, had received the resignation letter of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, and a formal announcement is to be made later, the Speaker’s Office said.
Rajapaksa’s resignation will be announced to the nation by the speaker, once the legal procedures are completed, it said.– NNN-AGENCIES
