Seven Terrorists, Two Soldiers Killed In Military Operation In NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Jun 27 (NNN-APP) — Pakistan’s security forces killed seven terrorists in the tribal district of North Waziristan, in the north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said, in a statement.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani army, said yesterday that, a fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists, in the Ghulam Khan KaIle area of North Waziristan, a district bordering Afghanistan.

“Troops effectively engaged the terrorists and seven of them were killed,” said the ISPR, adding that, two soldiers embraced martyrdom during the intense exchange of fire.

The ISPR claimed to have confiscated weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

It also announced that a clearance operation was being carried out, to eliminate other terrorists in the vicinity.– NNN-APP
