Security Forces Gun Down Four Terrorists In NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Jun 26 (NNN-APP) – Security forces in Pakistan’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killed four terrorists in an exchange of fire, a military statement said yesterday.

The security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation, in North Waziristan District, on the reported presence of the terrorists, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, in the statement.

Weapons and ammunition were seized from the killed terrorists, the statement said.

“The killed terrorists had remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces,” the statement added.

Pakistani security forces, intensified intelligence-based operations in the country, following a resurge in terrorist attacks on law enforcement agencies and the general public.

On Friday, two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces, in Dera Ismail Khan district of the province, the ISPR said.– NNN-APP
