TASHKENT, Jun 26 (NNN-XINHUA) – Uzbekistan sent 74 tonnes of humanitarian aid to neighbouring Afghanistan, following a deadly earthquake and subsequent floods, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry press service said, yesterday.
The aid consisted of food, necessities and medicines, and was organised, following Uzbek President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s instructions.
According to the latest estimations, more than 1,150 people died, and more than 1,500 others were injured in the Wednesday morning earthquake.– NNN-XINHUA
