World’s most-followed TikToker is Senegalese Khaby Lame with 142.8m followers

DAKAR, June 25 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Khaby Lame, the Senegalese-born TikTok sensation has achieved the feat of being the world’s biggest TikToker.

He surpasses American TikTok creator Charli D’Amelio after hitting 142.8 million followers as compared to the former’s 142.3 million.

Lame, who is 22-year-old, is known for his ‘speech less’ videos which have generated lots of reactions on the social media platform.

He joined TikTok in March 2020 amid the COVID-19 lockdown having lost his job in Italy. The feat shows Lame has had a meteoric and exponential rise in attracting followers.

His American rival in November 2020, became the first TikToker to pass 100 million followers on TikTok.

Lame trademark is using gestures without words to draw people’s attention to using simple ways to undertake tasks deemed complicated. — NNN-AGENCIES
