Maldivian Health Authority Warns COVID-19 Cases On Rise Again

COLOMBO, Jun 15 (NNN-PSM) – The Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives, warned that the number of COVID-19 cases in the country was on the rise again, local media reported, yesterday.

The agency said, 142 people had tested positive for the virus over the past week, a sizable increase from low numbers in the previous weeks.

The HPA said, they would continue to monitor the situation, urging people to be vigilant, as the number of cases is increasing.

The Maldives has recorded 179,979 COVID-19 cases and 299 deaths to date.– NNN-PSM
