GAZA, Palestine, April 3 (NNN-WAFA) – Israeli army fighting drones, Tuesday, carried out two successive air strikes on Palestinians, who were launching arson balloons from eastern Gaza Strip into Israel, said a Gaza-based Radio.
The first missile was fired at a group of Palestinians in eastern Gaza city, who were launching arson balloons, with huge explosion heard in the area, said a report by Al-Quds Radio, quoting eyewitnesses and security sources.
The report said that after a short while, another missile was fired at another group of arson balloon launchers, in eastern Gaza city. No injuries were reported and the Palestinians ran away from the area.
The tension on the border between the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip and Israel has escalated since the end of March last year, when the anti-Israel protests, better known as the “Great March of Return,” started.
Health ministry officials in Gaza, said that, since the beginning of the protests one year ago, the Israeli army had shot and killed 270 Palestinians, including 52 children, and wounded more than 30,000 others.– NNN-WAFA
