Jordan Signs Investment Deal With Saudi-Jordanian Fund

AMMAN, Jun 7 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan signed an agreement with the Saudi-Jordanian Investment Fund (SJIF) yesterday, to invest 400 million U.S dollars, in a healthcare project in Jordan.

The project plans to build a university hospital with 300 beds, more than 60 outpatient clinics, an ambulatory care building, and a medical school, with a total capacity of 600 students, the fund said in a statement.

The project is expected to create more than 5,000 employment opportunities, it noted.

Jordan’s Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, emphasised the relations between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and the keenness to boost cooperation between the two countries in all fields, particularly in the economic and investment areas.– NNN-PETRA
