LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan, May 29 (NNN-ANA) – Three persons lost their lives in a road accident in Marja district, of the southern Helmand province of Afghanistan yesterday, head of public relation office of Traffic Police, in the provincial capital, Lashkar Gah, said today.
The deadly accident took place last night, when a mini-bus collided with a motorbike coming from the opposite direction, on a congested road, leaving three dead, including a child and two women, Nazar Mohammad added.
Police have arrested the driver of the mini-bus and investigation is underway, the official said.
This is the second deadly road accident in the southern region since Friday. In the previous road accident, which happened in Kandahar’s neighbouring Herat province, on Friday evening, two persons were killed and seven others were injured, traffic police confirmed.
