HO CHI MINH CITY, May 26 (NNN-VNA) – An agricultural expo is being held in southern Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), displaying major agricultural products from the country’s southern area.

The expo hosts 160 booths, showcasing products, including orchids, bonsai, mushrooms and fertilisers from HCMC and other localities in the Mekong Delta region.

The agricultural fair provides an opportunity for the government, farmers, scientists and businesses, to meet and exchange views on creating high-quality plant varieties and breeds, the report said, citing Vice Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, Vo Van Hoan.

The city official also said, HCMC is a large market in the whole country, and a centre for production and supply of agro-aquaculture products, for cities and provinces in the Mekong Delta region.

On the sidelines of the expo, that will last until Sunday, a conference will be held, to train farmers to bring their products to the country’s e-commerce platform – Postmart.– NNN-VNA
