RABAT, May 10 (NNN-MAP) – Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita, met with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry yesterday, in Rabat, on bolstering bilateral relations, economic and trade exchange.
Speaking to the press, following the meeting, Bourita expressed Morocco’s condolences to the Egyptian victims of the deadly attack in Sinai, a day earlier, and reiterated the kingdom’s full support for all measures taken by Egypt, to preserve its security and stability.
“Morocco and Egypt share similar views on many regional issues,” Bourita said, adding that, the two countries agreed to hold the political consultation mechanism and the Moroccan-Egyptian Businessmen Council.
For his part, Shoukry expressed Egypt’s determination to further bolster its relations with Morocco, by activating the political consultation mechanism, the economic commission and the business forum.
The two sides also discussed the crises in Libya, the Palestinian issue and the fight against terrorism.
Shoukry wished that the upcoming ministerial conference of the Global Coalition against the Daesh terrorist group, tomorrow, in the city of Marrakech, will be a success. — NNN-MAP
